What is a Fit variant?

SizeMatch recommendations are based on a chart of body measurement ranges which correlate with specific sizes.

Some products may fit differently on different body types (i.e, the way a garment is recommended for a female body type will be different for a male body type, hence 2 different charts may be used to determine the sizing logic).

How to create a Fit variant

Assuming you have already uploaded a product and configured a SizeMatch Range chart for it, follow these steps to create a Fit variant of that chart:

1) Go to the Products tab

2) Select the product you'd like to make a Fit variant of

3) Go to the SizeMatch Range tab

4) Click on Fit variant

5) Give the fit variant an appropriate label to distinguish it's fitting style (see below for more on labelling)

6) Ensure you give the original chart a label too if you are establishing gendered fits. You can rename a chart by clicking this cell:

7) Edit your new Fit variant charts accordingly then you're ready to start receiving 2 variant recommendations for the one product.

Fit variant labelling

Fit variant labelling will determine which gender fit variant a user will be recommended. Here is a guide to labelling your variant charts:

  • Variant charts with out any label will be treated as a unisex fit and hence recommended to all scan subjects.
  • Variants labelled ‘M’, or ‘Male’ or ‘Mens’ will be treated as a male fit recommendation.
  • Variants labelled ‘F’, or ‘Female’ or ‘Womens’ will be treated as a female fit recommendation.

How to disable a Fit variant

You may temporarily disable a fit variant if you do not wish to receive size recommendations for that variant by clicking here.

Scan subject Fit variant selection

If you would like the scan subject to specify that they would like a size recommendation based on a specific gendered fitting style, you can enable the option on BoddHub. When the scan subject is on the scanner, they will be presented an option for them to select their fitting style (i.e male or female). You can enable this option here:

1) Select the Profiles tab.

2) Select the appropriate Scanner Profile that relates to the scanner you're wanting to configure.

3) Click on the Scan Experience tab.

4) Scroll down till you see Fit variant selection. Click the toggle to on. If this option is not activated, the scan subject will receive both male and female fit size recommendations by default.

5) Click Save at the bottom.

Once saved, restart your scanner. When the scan subject is about to be scanned, they will be prompted with this screen to select their fitting style.
