Troubleshooting scan quality

When scanning it is important to hold an A pose during the scan cycle.

The A pose creates a separation of the limbs from the body and allows the Bodd system to accurately measure relevant body landmarks.

The scan subject should stand in a normal and relaxed posture, do not slouch, and do not exaggerate expansion of the chest.

Breathing should be calm, slow, and shallow to avoid excessive expansion and contraction of the chest.

Arms should hang straight down, with the palms held 8 inches away from the hips.

Body, head, and limbs should be held completely still for the 45-second scan cycle. (turntable rotation).

What to wear

Wear skin tight garments for scanning. (Athletic wear or undergarments)

The Bodd scanner derives measurements from the outer surface of your body.

When you scan wearing clothes, the Bodd system will measure your body including the thickness of those clothes.

Loose or excessively thick clothes will result in measurements that are bigger than your actual size

If your scan measurements are larger than actual, the Bodd sizematch algorithm will recommended garments that are bigger than your ideal match.

Still experiencing issues?

It could be due to incorrect placement of the scanner. Check our guide to where to place your scanner. Once you have set up the scanner in a new location, we recommend you perform Environment Diagnostics. This is a series of self directed tests on the scanner designed to evaluate the environment in which the scanner has been set up in.
